Some of Blair’s first words to me were, “ We’re getting married in Peoria but can we make it feel like Chicago?” Absolutely! The Pere Marquette was a mix of vintage elegance and modern upgrades, it felt rich, lush and nothing like Peoria. It felt like a small bit of Chicago came with us down south. Chandeliers and grand staircases were the backdrops for our portraits and it was the perfect touch to make it feel like a Chicago wedding.
A small intimate wedding ceremony of 65 guests filled The Building by Childers and among the candlelit tables Blair and Kalin said their I do’s. The tables had candles, elegant yet simple florals and of course the loved ones picked by Blair + Kalin to make their wedding day perfect. Having a small wedding is not something that seems to be a “fan favorite” but for the couples who decide to keep it small man oh man have they done it beautifully.
